Artist's Comments

As strong as steel, as old as these walls, free to all, strictly platonic, and rough around the edges.

Unconditional.

Today, I decided I'd take a stab at doing more photography this upcoming year. So dad lets me borrow the digital camera when me and my mom go walking. Well, somehow in my pocket the settings get changed to -movies-... and I don't notice. They might have been interesting photographs, but instead they turned out as really -bad- home movies. XD And my dad says 'We've got a -LOT- of work to do.' XD So I dug out this, an old photo- I took way back when working for Securitas. I hope that I'll be able to take more pictures this upcoming year- but like my dad says, I've got a -lot- to learn. (basically, I -suck- at photography)

That's... like, the only good photo out of that whole roll of film... ... but, I love it too. I've been told it might look better in Seppia or Black and White, though. What do you think?
:iconhellbentcliche:
I like it in color... although black and white might look good. If you really want to change it, though, my suggestion would be to up the contrast a bit and then just leave it alone.

Hey thank you!

There are so many things I haven't done yet, and I've been thinking a lot recently about what it is to do them compared with what it is to just think about them.

But yesterday night (actually early this morning), after coming home and showering, and having some pizza and some real home-made cooking of Waylon's (hamburger, rice, and peas) and then went downstairs after writing my second journal entry to find Waylon watching Princess Mononoke, which I hadn't seen in probably a couple years, but have watched something like thirteen times before... yet this was the first time I noticed how Ashitaka was covered in furs and San was freezing on top of the leaves... even saying she hated him, that was still -kindness-. I think that's a lesson I'm learning.

 indeed it is. odd how sometimes you notice those little details after so many years...

That place- the foundary, when people would work there, it would be loud, hot or cold- molten metal and big heavy machinery, forklifts driving around, concrete floor...

And you know on Rocky Balboa, the one guy says that after you've been at a place for so long, you become that place? ...I wonder what someone who works at a place like that foundary for thirty or more years has become? With something like this hidden, beautiful little small detail in such a -huge- building.

this is really awesome, and the description you give it adds a wonderful slant to it! I must :+fav:
